Material Connexion

This project was about experiementing with materials and techniques. It was about material knowledge and how to work with them sustainably.

As I am fond of knitting, I created these knitting samples with different techniques. I also played with watercolor print and herringbone weaving. At the end I came up with a silhuet using the materials I had created.

Draping course

I took a 3 weeks draping course to develop my construction skills and techniques but also to get a better understading of the body.

I finished the course by making this dress "the Cape Dress" made from a singlelock jersey.

I wanted to minimize the waste of fabric so in order to use all of my fabric, I created the panel you see on the back.

SCHOOL PROJECTS AT KEA

These are my recent projects from KEA. It will be opdated as I continue finishing projects.

In Line With the World (I Tråd Med Verden) is a danish integration project that helps women with other ethnic background to get on their feets by giving them the opportunity to work with needlework techniques.

We had a collaboration with the organisation where we had workshops together with the women, developing our ideas of a jewellery collection to be made by them.

Throughout the project, I did different crochet, knotting and binding techniques. In the end I came up with a clean collection of crochet necklaces and bracelets made by waste fabrics and yarns. The idea was to make jewellery without using metal locks.

In Line With the World

From Idea to Implementation

So we had to work on a real case for a certain Danish brand, creating new sustainable stategies from the design view.

I have working on the menswear brand Armoire d'homme and wanted to bring functionality and divirsity into the collections to take the term Slow Fashion even further.

I focused on the changable shirt, where cuffs and collar are removeable.
